If you can fit them both, that's a different story. It's what I would try to do. I think I already told you, but my plan was to develop Boeser alongside Jost on the 3rd line. Andrighetto or a revitalized Yakupov on the other wing would hopefully give me a dynamic line prepared to move up the lineup permanently over the next couple of years. They'd start as a 3rd line, but hopefully progress to 2nd line as a unit, or at least a 2(a) or 2(b).
If I was a contender however, I'm not moving Hornqvist to make room for Boeser.
Yeah completely understand. I think I'm going to try and stick with Hornqvist and Boeser. It bumps Karlsson out of the 4th line center slot, but injuries are bound to happen and If he plays better than Filppula he could regain that spot. My only concern is having Dubois and Reinhart as 1-2 center combo. I haven't found a lot of info about Reinharts capabilities as a center, I do know a lot of his success has been on Eichels RW so we'll see. Dubois has been playing well as a center in QMJHL (not a guarantee of NHL success of course) but it's very promising.

If you want an opinion, Reinhart doesn't have a lot of faceoff data because he struggles in that area, which prevents him from being used to take a lot of draws. He may be abysmal at faceoffs or he may be able to improve, but he's going to need a lot more experience in that area, and it wouldn't hurt to bring a depth player on board that is strong in that area as a tutor. Kind of how Galchenyuk has been taking lessons from Ott in Montreal.
He needs improvement on the defensive side of the game as well. Right now his best usage is as a winger with skilled linemates. If you want to develop him as a center, it's going to take some time and he will need some two-way wingers. He gives up more offense than he generates, so you either have to increase his output, or increase his defensive capability.
um... Filppula was traded to Philly on trade deadline...
Yeah, I didn't worry too much about what team they showed under, as many of them are on different teams for us now.
Side note, I think I fixed the UFA form if someone wants to take a few minutes to follow the instructions and make sure everything works and is simple enough to follow.

Ok, thanks for the information. I had a feeling he was more suited as a winger based on the fact he always seemed to be on Eichels line as a wing.
Leon Draisaitl and the package in the Sharks-Canucks-Jackets deals are definitely not what I'd describe as "a little". I partially agree with Zach. His contract isn't atrocious but in 3-4 years it's going to look like a big anchor on a canoe. Right now, it's totally a justifiable contract. 4 years is when it'll be bad.
Maybe it's cause the Jackets haven't been spoiled with a top pair like they have until now, but he has noticeably been one of the best players on the ice most nights for Columbus. He's developed a physical edge this year. He skates extremely well and is sneaky fast (Matthews at World Cup stated jones was the fastest skater on team North America). He makes an excellent first pass. He stuffs zone entries frequently, breaking up plays before the opposition can enter the zone. He's tied the CBJ record for defenseman goals in a season. He's posted dominant even strength possession numbers facing top end competition. And he's only 22. Hes locked up at only 5.4 million the next 5 years. He's going to get much better over the next few years. It's a scary thought for the rest of the NHL.

Ryan Clowe is on injured reserve and is exempt from the expansion draft and Zajac has a NMC
I'm not sure on Clowe's status in relation to the expansion draft, he is on the list as of now, I'll have to see if that changes or is updated at some point.
Zajac has a NTC but no NMC that I can see. Expansion tool and his Capfriendly page don't show an NMC. Did you see it somewhere else perhaps?
As for Burns. I had similar thoughts about Markov, and he's still going strong.
Agreed. Some guys can just keep going and going. Albeit to a lesser extent. Markov is not as active as he was a little while ago but the brains are still there and he makes up for his lack of foot speed.
