As long as this one turns out better than the last winger the Red Wings sent to Edmonton for a second.

And that was two seconds, mind you. Maybe instead of 9 games Fabbri will get 4 1/2.

Don't really think the value is here for Minnesota. He's having a nice season, but he's still just a bottom six guy. We have plenty of those, and adding another one isn't really worth a 3rd.

Wait, nevermind, I guess it won’t happen at all, Fabbri literally just got a three year contract extension lol

If Namestnikov keeps playing well and he easily could we might be able to get a little more him.

Detroit gave up a 2nd and retained $1.375M on Pánik who has another year on his contract. The money isn't an issue it's losing a retention slot so this year and next year we can only retain on 2 players. The teams who will give up the most to acquire one of our UFAs are all tight up against the cap. So retaining 50% on Leddy and taking on a cap dump who has another full season. We really aren't even breaking even on the Leddy trade. Throw in a 3rd or a decent prospect but as it is now it would make more sense to resign Leddy.

From Minnesota's pov I agree but there are teams that that would definitely benefit from adding Namestnikov. Pittsburgh fans here were willing to give up a 3rd when he wasn't playing well. But with any player being moved at the TDL how he is playing going into the TDL is all that really matters.
