A 3rd team to take on Zucker at the cost of the 2nd round pick. Then Pittsburgh adds the actual value for Pavelski retained as you aren't just getting him for free like you have above

Scrap that trade altogether, add a 1st & add a good prospect.

He doesn't need to go. He's still a very good player. He's a positive impact player both offensively and defensively, it's just that the finishing luck isn't there.

How you still think he's a bad player is beyond me.

When did I say hes a bad player? Hes been fine, but we have no room for him with Erod playing like he is. We can trade him for a more effective player or that 3rd line. Moving Zucker down in the lineup isnt gonna solve anything, so we have to move him no while we have the chance

Why does he have to go? He’s got one more year on his deal. If you have to pay to get rid of him then no, it’s dumb.

he is a good player it is just not working out. For how much we gave up for him, he should be finishing, Thats the problem.

Finishing literally comes down to luck. He's just unlucky. It would be a problem if his process as a whole was leading to poor offensive and defensive results, but that is not the case. He's still a great player and the team is better with him.

Zucker and Pavelski are having very similar seasons. Pavelski is just getting better shooting luck. They contribute xG at similar levels and Zucker has been better defensively this year. Pavelski isn't the "more effective player".

E-Rod playing well has nothing to do with Zucker. There's this thing called depth and it's very important and Zucker can play on any line in the top 9. Not to mention it would be poor asset management to give up a high-round pick for a player who's older, and a rental.

All around it's a stupid trade.
