It's a no from Edmonton. Savoie has too much promise to give up for a rental.

Have to factor that you're ditching Scandella's next two years, plus getting a solid middle 6 forward in Crouse who fits the Blues style. All that plus the fact Chyrchrun has a sweet contract and we can't afford both Thomas and Kyrou in a couple years. I don't want to see Thomas leave, but we have to address our top 4 D if we want to go anywhere in the playoffs.

How about switching Savoie with a 2nd RD pick?

Thomas is a 22 year old playing all-situations 1c minutes and on pace for 60 assists despite the apparent lingering injury. That’s the player type who u trade under almost no circumstances.

Also Scandella is a super super favorable buyout, not worth lighting picks/prospects on fire to get rid of.

You think that's what Savoie is worth??

But no, I think Lavoie + 1st is more than enough.

We must keep Army's no-buyout steak alive! I hear what you're saying though. All in all, I would want the Tarasenko situation resolved before making any other drastic moves. I think a lot falls on the plan with VT and what return we get (assuming we trade him).

I think logically that streak should end, but I could see it being a pride thing to keep it alive. Yeah if Tarasenko goes there’s really no need to buyout a guy and add future dead cap. Also Perron coming off the books.

I have to agree, but maybe make it a 2023 Conditional 3rd that can become a 2nd based on performance or a contract extension.
I'd be all over that.
