Keith nixes the first trade and Barrie is worth far more in the second trade. Not going to happen.

I think the Oilers have every intention of bringing Holloway up this year. A lot of pressure on the kid to come in and produce, but theyre going to need that.

Just not ready at all. He needs AHL time to just get back from his 3-month injury and get back to playing

Yotes are down on defensemen considering the Timmins injury and losing Chychrun. Broberg needs AHL time and Keith can fill in that role.

By all accounts he is though. Physically and skill wise. Obviously not immediately after being cleared. If he plays in the AHL for a month and a half and is playing well, hes not staying there.

Just the rest of season there. If he play excellent, he might be in for playoffs, but just don't see it happening this season

I understand your logic for sure, and i agree to an extent. But just with everything thats been discussed in the msm, he will be here around the deadline.

You don't understand: KEITH NIXES THAT TRADE. He has a full NMC and won't waive it for Arizona.

Holloway has a wrist injury, it hasn't kept him off the ice or interfered with lower body training even one day. He's not going to need 1.5 years in the AHL, that's just silly.

Yes, I agree. He will probably get a 1-1.5 months in the AHL then be in EDM around the deadline or a bit before

i really think the chychrun deal is shortsighted. Edmonton wont be a much different team than it is now till 23-24 then they will have him for a year or two and not be able to resign him. They are so far off competing that outside of getting a goalie or a young forward they shouldnt consider doing it. I would much rather bring Broberg in at the start of next year as he has shown that he can be responsible defensively in the NHL already and can be kept in edmonton his whole career.

Okay maybe you're right.

Bob Stauffer said, "Holloway has been skating for awhile. He is starting to shoot more.
Could see him in Bakersfield mid-to-late January or early February."

Holloway is apparently stick handling already. He cant take faceoffs or shoot but he has been skating for months in edmonton.

He is shooting now, it was reported a couple of weeks back that he was "shooting more".
