Not worth it for the blues because they already have scandella who is very similar in skill and all adding him would only push scandella out of the lineup.

Can’t compare Scandella & Chiarot, they are not in the same league. Chiarot is miles better than Scandella

I can see why d-men are being rumored to STL but Mikkola got bumped up to play with Parayko and the results have been pretty good. He's playing 20 min per night and the team is 7-1-2 in their last 10. If they add someone, it should be at the expense of Scandella going the other way. His 3.25m on the 3rd pair hurts.

In terms of trade value, I would definitely be upset if Blues spend a 1st rd pick on Ben Chiarot. Is he even good?

Man this whole Chiarot auction is like watching another Seth Jones time bomb ticking (though certainly not as egregious).

Scannell sucks, chiarot has more offensive upside. They are pretty similar in terms of defense.

Chiarot is decent. He’s not a top1-2 or 3 dman, but he can play 25+ min a night. MTL had Chiarot-Weber Edmundson-Petry but Weber Petry & Eddy are better dman than Chiarot. But in the playoffs he is really good, he doesn’t get called for cross-checking, roughing like in the regular season

He is good, he would be a good addition for sure. Not at the price of a 1st RD pick tho. But FLO STL now EDM and half a dozens teams are after him, which will result the team getting him will overpaid for sure
