Description
I feel like this lineup could go deep in the playoffs. Each line is at least a solid 2nd, if not most are 1st line talent. Blues might land Chiarot for a playoff run, but I honestly don’t think he’d fetch a 1st. I’d give him a 2nd and a prospect tops. If it’s a first we can roll with Mikkola and Parayko.

Good point, I thought he’d be a good addition come playoff time for just a 3 month deal basically

This… looks dangerous. This looks like a cup favorite team. Assuming Binnington is at least looking like he did in his rookie season, this team probably wins a cup.

Kostin and Boqvist are both in the same situation. Both 2017 picks who have struggled to stay in the NHL. They could have similar value and a trade around them could work
Then its Scandella for a 4th. The Devils have Smith, Graves, and Siegenthaler all on the left side. Graves is on the top pair with Hamilton so Graves isn't moving. Smith has a lot of potential. And Siegenthaler has one of the best defensive analytics this season. Plus the Devils have Mukhmudullin, Bahl, and Luke Hughes all coming to the league in the next 1-2 years. So no room for Scandella

Got it! Good points, I did that trade in another post and it seemed like it would work well as a stop gap cause they might be losing some guys this off-season defensively. But, maybe Scandella fits in elsewhere maybe for the Isles.

Big no on Kane, especially at 2 mil. And no thanks on Chiarot. If the Blues upgrade on LD I would only want Chychrun, otherwise just run with Mikkola.

If we move Subban or even Severson or Graves, Scandella could work as short term option.

As you know, Smith can play right side. Bahl has been playing some right side in Utica, Mukhamadullin plays mostly right side for Ufa and Hughes has been almost exclusively right side for NTDP and Michigan. I am not too worried about left/right. (1995 team had six lefties).

If Kostin still has the potential, I would consider it.

Absolute not on Kane. Hay-elll naww. The last things the Blues need are: 1) scoring wingers & 2) that lunatic.

Pass on Chiarot. And I'm not really high on dealing Kostin, but maybe this works if there's another LD coming in.

with the depth the blues have on forwards, signing kane makes no sense whatsoever, dude is problem and nothing else
