Description

No players not currently under an NHL contract so no Owen Power or a new prospect Buffalo might get in the draft

First things first, Olofsson and UPL need to be paid. Olofsson, a reasonable sum for his talents. UPL? A Demko-like contract for the future of Buffalo goaltending
UFA signings to fill in the depth, I'm not sure if any pending UFA's want to return so I'll avoid Buffalo UFA's (with one exception in net), Rutta is a solid D whose stats are probably inflated from playing on Tampa but should be a solid depth plug; Stecher is having a slight a down year in Detroit and I'm not sure Stevey Y will bring him back. He can be brought in (hopefully) for a slight pay increase; Holden is a depth plug who's likely cheap; Sturm is definitely overpaid but could fill a solid role in Buffalo as a 2C if Thompson was just a flash. As for a new backup, I want to bring in Halak but I'm unsure if he will retire, Tolarski for 1 more year isn't a bad stopgap either

Finally, for some extra depth, Del Zotto wants out of Ottawa, we can probably get him in exchange for savings in Melnyk's wallet

Buffalo doesn't need to do too much this offseason, just fill in the depth, resign some key pieces moving forward, and stay the course

Immediately visible is a man who does not follow Buffalo and Rochester at all.

1. Thompson plays in the center and is currently our highest scoring player.

2. What are these lines anyway?

3. Power, Samuelsson and Peterka will be in roster.

4. Bjork bad

5. Halak is unlikely to sign with Buffalo after earlier trade.

Yes. I do not, but I follow the same rules with each team, no creating players, no calling up players who have not yet played in the NHL, making moves that won't screw over a team for the long term. I also don't know who wants to resign. There's no real indicator. But it is true that the roster will likely have more youth than veteran plugs

Ah yes, another left d. We have dahlin, power, Bryson, Samuelsson, and Johnson all competing for 3 spots. Every team seems to have an extra left d that they are willing to give up for nothing, like hagg and butcher. It's gotta be the position with the least value in the league. It feels like every team has a left d that's making like a million more than they should be, that they wanna give away for nothing.
