So, the Leafs don't have Matthews and Fox doesn't sign as a Leaf and still is a college UFA and signs with the Rangers.

fox wasn't even drafted in the 1st round, he was a 3rd rounder, how in the world is he a pick instead of Matthews

and that girard trade is just an instant decline by the avs, nothing of value to them in that trade

Any post suggesting the Leafs shouldn't of drafted Matthews 1oa will not be taken seriously.

On the USNDT Larkin played LW for 2 centers Eichel and Matthews and before the 2016 draft Matthews was in Detroit hanging out with Larkin. So to me at least it would make sense to me at least still draft Matthews in this what if scenario. At the same time Larkin probably stayed at U of M longer if Babcock was still in Detroit.

You forget something. Fox was drafted by Calgary, not the Rangers. He didn't want to play for anyone else, and was traded to Carolina. They tried to talk him into it, and he still only wanted the Rangers, since he's from New York
