The Avs aren't paying to dump Johnson when his contract is going to be over when we re-sign MacKinnon.

Colorado doesn't need to dump Johnson. His money goes into the Mackinnon contract in 2 years. Also, no way he would waive to go to Detroit.

Terrible value for Leddy(with retention) and Namestikov, and neither Colorado nor Toronto accept those trades and they're not even good fits for Detroit in the first place.

Detroit needs to essentially stand pat at the deadline. Extend Leddy and Namestikov now and maybe even Staal and Gagne in the off-season if we strike out on more impactful free agents. They've made huge strides this season and part of that step is cohesion. You don't blow that up. Trust the Yzerplan.

Yeah I dont know about that TOR deal
Tyler UnVaccinated cant even play in Canada so that wouldn't work
Joe Veleno is not enough because he just hasn't proved himself in relation to sandin AND Amirov
