they'll lose in teh 1st or 2nd rd this year, and repeat the same thing next year. the year after that matthews will leave in free agency. voila.

Well sure looks like Campbell is going to be a UFA....so he isn't a Leaf to keep. Same with Kase. IMO the only way they can keep Campbell is to trade 7m Nylander for futures meaning no cap coming back to Leafs.

the same way they do every year, and that other teams do every year. they trade their not core players and people will act surprised like they do every time

Kase is an RFA.

Mikheyev is the UFA.

esp with HRR taking a hit from this new covid wave, i doubt the cap goes up by 1mill. that further worsens the leafs situation. cal petersson signing that contract with the kings doesn't help the leafs either.
