For a single postseason run, I'd actually be happy with Reimer being brought in. (He was the goalie I wanted as a backup before VV came back), but I probably wouldn't want to keep him into the next year over VV, unless a team is willing to vastly overpay for VV.
However, the Graves trade really doesn't make sense for either side. Devils already have a large amount of centers, and Washington (in this scenario) would be sending one of our best defenders in Fehervary down to the AHL.
Not a fan of the Wideman contract, seems like an overpayment to me and van Riemsdyk is just as good on the 3rd pairing. Washington can transition him back to his natural defensive side.
I think the Capitals would want a 2-3 year deal with Samsonov, but the money seems about right.
