I personally think this move is unnecessary. Our top 4 is set, unless you plan on giving up Miller in a subsequent deal for a center or something.

This doesn't really seem like that much for the rangers to give up, they should do it

I think it’s a better deal if we are getting a centre

Which is hilarious because Marek said a deal from Florida would require Lundell Knight and a first. So either Marek is way off in his valuation or the rangers brass is completely delusional

I think getting Chychrun and giving up that little is a huge win either way

This makes sense for NY if they plan on moving Lindgren or Miller. Personally move Lindgren + Nemeth in the offseason. If you get Miller on a 3 year bridge deal, that's 4 years of solid cap management for your left side.

What’s delusional is the pie-in-the-sky ask they put out there…I mean a projected 1C (on a team w/o Barkov), a stud young goalie, and a 1st in a deep draft? Please…they’re just trying to start a bidding war….if that truly is their “low bar” of an acceptable deal, then I guess he’ll stay in AZN….nothing wrong with NYR kicking the tires on a deal…and no matter what happens with Chyk, AZN is probably the best landing spot for Krav.

No nothing at all but 23 year old top pair defenseman with an AAV under 5 will require a package closer to what Marek said than what is posted here. I know Ranger fans despise the thought, but any Chyc deal would probably have to center around Kakko/Laf

Nothing wrong with AZN putting a huge ask on a young stud on a good contract- I mean why wouldn’t they? But for NYR to give in to an exorbitant cost to bring back marginal improvement to the team is lunacy…no disrespect to Chyk- but NYR already have really good D prospects…so if they’re going to make a deal which involves the likes of Kakko/LaF… or even a few other stud prospects, they really need to address a position of need- that being a C who projects as a 1C in a few years
