Dude, you cannot be serious. You saw it on one AGM, so he might be on the move? C'mon.

And even if he was, that offer does exactly nothing for the Blues in the present. Or probably for three years. You couldn't even be arsed to give the '22 1st FCOL.

Parayko is hardly worth a first considering the way he’s been playing the last 1.5 years… mf talking about Sandin and lilijgren

you'd think a rebuilding team would gather as many assets as possible. Oh well, Arizona it is.

Oh you know for a fact we are rebuilding?! Cause there has not been any official announcement on the direction of the team. In fact most pundits are leaning towards a retool since the Habs have so many good players signed to term, that a full rebuild makes little sense right now unless Price and Gallagher request trades.

If you're not rebuilding then I don't know what to say. "so many good players signed to term" now that gave me a nice chuckle...lol

This package doesn't entice the Blues. I also don't think he's on the love necessarily but what I've seen is disconcerting. It will take Liljegren, Amirov, and at least one first round pick to get the Blues to continue talks.

So good players with term are making such a huge difference for the Habs. Definitely a retool will help there. The difference between last place and a playoff team in the toughest division in hockey is just one or two moves.

Parayko is considered less than Jones by a wide margin. Let's maybe come back to earth here.

My take on Parayko, his 1.5 season long step back with an 8 year extension starting next season is definitely a huge risk. That's a major financial commitment. While I like what Parayko has brought in the past, I am going to pass on him. Too much risk.

Yea but at the time jones struggled for a year and a half just saying espesially a top pairing right shot dman at 6.5 instead of 9+ itll cost a lot imo

Is he a top pair defenceman though? Or has he struggled since Pietrangelo left and has more responsibility because he's on his own? I don't know the answer, and I don't really care to find out. I wouldn't want TO to take that risk, although he wouldn't have to do it all in TO, it's still long term and high cap hit.

Remember in 2019 he was the fouth dman
faulk - Petro
Jaybo - CP
then after one season his long time d partner nearly dies next to him and one of the best dman in the league and leave and hes thrust from 4th man to the number one guy it takes some adjusting espesically without playing with a true Jaybo replacement Scandella isnt good enough and mikkola while he has played well isnt a long term replacement either
if you look when his down trend started it was when Jaybo had a heart attack (i think it was maybe a stroke or something) and then never replaced him

That's not exactly a shining endorsement of Parayko. I am not trying to chirp the guy, I just don't think I would trade for him. His contract is frightening.

Thats very fair just saying being shoved from a great twoway dman with averagre resonibalites to having the most is a huge change and withoud someone he trusts by his side he looks shaky
i mean look at his confidence when he plays with krug even tho krug is by no means a defensive dman he know what he can do and trusts him allowing CP to no have to worry his partner will make mistakes
also by no means do i know what Colton is thinking this is just my guess given the stats, watching the games, and how the pairings are setup
