Don't see NYI having much if any interest in trading Raty with his potential.

Most likely yes, although I saw Islanders fans trading Raty in other threads, mainly I focused on this.

Do you need Moore and are you going to qualify DeBrusk in the offseason?

Why not? Islanders just did it to Boychuk.

Ferland's cap hit is of use to them because they are a cap team, while the Islanders aren't at the ceiling anymore, Vancouver will want a little something in return for giving up their one and only LTIRelief piece, just you know, a late round pick or a minor league player or something

Do we need Moore? no, but first and foremost he's currently injured. Second we can waive him and if he doesn't get claimed we gain $1.1 million in cap space. Could they qualify JDB? sure why not. They have $13 million in cap space next year (assumes not increase) and very few players to sign. They could also offer him a short term 2yr deal that's less than his QO. Why DeBrusk do that? because when is contract is up he's a UFA and can pick is team....he'd also be easier to move in a trade at a lower cap hit.

not sure why we would just give you Ferland. He could be a part /throw in of a trade where we could actually get something for him.Nothing is free.

Yes, but Boston get a pick instead of just letting them go for free. It seems DeBrusk wanted to leave and your fans are trading him in any offer.

I gave an example of a deal where Buffalo get Boychuk for free, before that we got Subban for free, the league is full of deals with Future Considerations.

Thats nice. But it still does not mean we are just gonna give you an asset of ours.We have our own plans which dont include giving away assets.in my opinion.

Yes,you are confused. He is an asset because he can be thown in on a much better deal for us.Why would we give him away makes zero sense.

Okay, okay, if he is so valuable to Canucks, I won't touch him.

Who says they let him go for free? Again they have the cap space to QO him if they want to. They can also offer him a 2yr deal for less than his QO which allows him to become a UFA in 2yrs. Yes DeBrusk asked for a trade a few months ago, Tarasenko asked for a trade too and he's still with STL. As for fans, they don't make trades and to be honest I find much of the fanbase to be insufferable. This is the same fanbase that has been trying to get rid of Rask for years and said Krejci was lazy and not worth the money....funny how this year those people suddenly wanted Rask back and hope that Krejci returns sarcasm
