Having Bunting and Garland on the left side for the first and second lines would be heaven

I think the values fine - probably a slight overpayment but Toronto would have to outbid everyone else and Garland isn't a rental so it'd be fine.

But honestly, I think it's smarter to keep Kerfoot over Garland anyways and not have to give up the rest. Kerfoot's pretty underrated and highly undervalued on here. The guys on pace for 60 points with almost no PP time. He can play anywhere in the top 9 and he's a key forechecker and PK guy that brings a ton of speed. If Toronto was desperate for goals, sure I'd consider this. But they aren't and this doesn't address the teams needs at all

It's good value for sure. Only issue is Canucks would likely prefer a D prospect over a winger.

I think that the value is fine. The only question is whether it meets both teams' needs. I think Toronto also has cap concerns going forward, because I think you guys will have to pay at least $6 million to keep Jack Campbell.

Doesn't help the Leafs this year. Kerfoot has been good. Adds 1.5m to Leafs fragile cap. Plus the Leafs lose a "two firsts". Overpay and not practical for the Leafs. Maybe some team might do a similar deal but not the Leafs.

The leafs need a physical 4th liner or 2nd line power forward also a top 4 d-man that is physical and good on the PK. They don't need any offence they need physical role players that will show up in the playoffs. This has been the issue in the past, the leafs role players are the softest in the league.

Leafs have physical fourth liners. Certainly in last years playoffs, it lack of goal scoring not defence that eliminated the Leafs. Leafs are 6th overall, and the best in the Atlantic in PK.
Sorry if the trade is fair, your three points in your argument certainly aren't persuasive for the Leafs to make the trade.
