IF the Jets entertained the thought of moving Hellebuyck 2 things- 1 it would be out of conference(let alone division) and 2 would look to get a good young goalie to replace him, not Talbot...

I forgot to put Walstedt in there as part of the deal, my bad on that.

So a bunch of nothing and one year of Dumba for Helleybuyck. Somehow I can't see the Jets considering it.

Minnesota drafted jasper wallstedt for a reason! Hellebuyck isn't that good, so no thanks. History of struggling against wild, and other teams in the central .

Wild aren't trading wallstedt . No thanks. Connor h isn't that great of a g not to mention Cap. He has a history of struggling especially vs. Teams like wild

Lmao, imagine calling a vezina trophy winner and top 5 goaltender “not that great” 😂

Literally nothing worth moving hellebuyck for here. Not to mention it’s not nearly enough value either for a top 5 goaltender on a sweet contract

The G who historically always gets pulled via. Wild and other Central teams? He's not a championship player, or like the type Tampa has.

Does he get pulled because of his play or his teams around him giving up constant grade A chances?

Both. He gets rattled easily and is easily overrated. Wild aren't also trading jasper wallstedt. You get 1 G in on him, others start going in. They even mentioned on broadcast how you just have to flustered him with shots

So if he were on a team that wasn't allowing good shots or large shot volumes, he could be really good?

Well if other teams want to take that risk they can. That Talbot is an all star over him is an indictment on his last several years of play

So Talbot has a goals saved versus expected of -.1, Hellebuck +10.1 THIS YEAR, just because Talbot has more wins doesnt mean hes a better goalie.

Never said Talbot is better, but that the expectation of Hal to play how he's capable of and him not doing so is an indictment on that player is all I am saying.

Personally, I would think that a better goalie being moved to a better team with better defense would do better, but maybe there is a flaw in my premise

Talbot as an all star is some weird joke or the voters only looked at the wins stat at the time. If it was a career based thing MAF and Helle easily make it over Talbot. Both have finished top-5 in the Veznia 3 of the last 4 years, each won it once. Talbot didn't get a single vote in that timeframe.
