What I think is realistic value but you can call me crazy

Created by: Ross_Johnston
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 1, 2022
Published: Feb. 1, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Trying to be as realistic as possible - hate it if you want.
Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Pelletier, Jakob
  2. 2022 1st round pick (CGY)
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
Pick is lottery protected. Assuming Calgary won't move Coronato and Montreal doesn't want Zary - meet in the middle. Steep price but retention has value.
CGY
  1. Toffoli, Tyler ($2,125,000 retained)
  2. Wideman, Chris
Additional Details:
Full retention for 3 years of Toff. Salary is now 2,125,000 per.
2.
MTL
  1. Nemeth, Patrik
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (STL)
  4. 2023 3rd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
NYR clears cap.
NYR
  1. Lehkonen, Artturi
Additional Details:
This is more of an example - it would take an overpayment to move Lehkonen. I'd be quite content if he played his entire career in Montreal.
3.
MTL
  1. Tippett, Owen
  2. 2022 6th round pick (CGY)
  3. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Maybe I'm crazy, but I genuinely don't see Florida having room for Tippet next year.
FLA
  1. Chiarot, Ben ($1,750,000 retained)
  2. Paquette, Cédric
4.
MTL
  1. 2024 4th round pick (COL)
5.
MTL
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (NSH)
NSH
  1. Kulak, Brett ($925,000 retained)

first 3 are 100% overpays but are somewhat realistic. This deadline gonna have a ton of bidders so I could see a few slight overpayments.

really don't hate any of them honestly.
I think for the most part, all the teams are winners in these trades.

Not a bad deal, but Calgary won't need the retention and Pelletier +1st is a bit too steep so they should decline.

The first three aren't realistic at all. But I feel like you already knew that.

Uh yeah no. These are total wins by MTL. Also COL has zero interest in Perrault.

Yeah Lehkonen would have to be an overpayment to move, I was trying to make an example out of him.

You seem to be the odd man out here but, thanks for your constructive criticism.

Yeah, I took that into consideration. Do I think Toffoli is worth that? No. But TDL and FA day are the two days where GM's drastically overpay

Ehh what now? Literally every other poster who isn;t a Habs fan (that being Herms17, who you somehow think isn't a Habs fan) is calling some of these overpays or taking pieces out, and especially from the first three.
