Yes would turn it down in a heart beat. There is nothing there that Avs desperately need. Carlson is good but you dont trade your franchise center for a 28 year old Dman who is a UFA in 1 season. He does not fit the needs for the Avs going forward.

I just am fired up with all the MacKinnon talk....honestly the Edmonton Journal Jim Matheson needs to retire. A few months ago he wrote how the Avs could learn from the Oilers in turning things around by trading Hall for Larsson. That team isnt better bc of Larsson, that team is better bc they got McDavid and Draisitl is the real deal. And now recently Matheson is shifting his trade Duchene for a Dman story to trade MacKinnon for one. That guy is a clown

The best player coming to the Avalanche is Carlsson. He's a UFA in one season. Hardly a rebuilding block for Colorado.
