Way too little.

Cbj aren't moving Gavrikov, and as bad as Korpi has been it will cost to move from Koskinen to Korpi for cap purposes solely.

I'm not even gonna post what I think cbj will ask for bc Edmonton fans will attack me, but gavrikov is extremely valuable to the org

Koskinen > Korpisalo
1st > Gavrikov

Turris is buried and costs the Oilers almost nothing.

i'd agree with above that this is too little for CBJ to consider. they have no reason to move Gavrikov, and i'd imagine they'd have to be overwhelmed to consider moving him

I'd argue with cap that korpi and koskinen are similar

And cbj should be willing to retain on him. If we retain 50 and he costs 1.4, taking koski at 4.5 saves them 3.1M and gives them a player who AT LEAST has a history of performing well in the playoffs. I'm not saying korpi is a good goalie rn though

Gavrikov probably is worth a 1st and decent prospect on his own. Korp not worth more than a 3rd imo. To dump Koskinen and Turris likely costs a 2nd/3rd. So the above trade should be something like 2022 1st, Tyler Tullio, 2023 2nd/3rd

Oilers fans love to say korpi is bad which is hard to argue up to this point even though our defense leaves him out to dry 8-10 times a night. They forget that there is a $3.1M difference in this swap as well and that is where the real value of korpi is at. I wouldnt trust either of them in the playoffs, so if you get $3.1M in cap out of this, thats a win for edmonton.

Korpi and Koskinen are similar caliber goalies except with retention Korpi is way cheaper. Korpi half retained will probably cost the oilers a 3rd at minimum probably a 2nd. Turris has negative value too. Gavy on his own is worth more than a late first. Jackets pass

The trade being discussed doesn't include salary retention. Edmonton has no interest in Korpisalo so retained or not you'll have to go somewhere else.

The poster I responded to said retained and is not OP. CBJ has zero reason to trade him without retention given the current market and his performance. The value of korpi is an experienced goaltender with some minimal playoff success at a $1.4M cap hit to serve as a backup.
