Description
Are there really any other moves they can make? I could see McNabb maybe moving since he only has 1 year left, but this is cap hell for a team with 8 players with big contracts and NMC/NTC and a $10M man they just gave up a boatload for.

Wild take that trade in a heartbeat. Stephenson would be a good get for what they're looking for right now. At a good price too.

The question of how much is he going to go for is probably the most prominent, hes a great player on a better contract and one of the only top players in Vegas that doesnt have a NM/NT

The Arizona trade should be for future considerations.

Trading Stephenson would be a mistake.

McNabb just signed a VERY cap friendly extension. In my opinion, he way under-sold himself at $2.85mil per year. I don't think Vegas is planning on moving him anymore.

Yes. This too. They'll probably move Wild Bill before they move Stephenson.

I don't think Vegas will move him. Many other ways to get some cap without moving a good player, on a good contract.

VGS isn't moving their best two contracts for below market value when they can move smith or dandanov for peanuts. Or even Martinez for some quality.

VGS needs just under 10mil in cap space: Janmark and Smith almost get them there. Smith and Dandanov create that space. But mcnabb and stephenson dont get moved and if they did, it wouldn;t be for below market value.

I know ARZ is the placeholder, but doubt smith and janmark get 3 2nds or anything close to real value, the league knows VGS has to clear space BEFORE the DEADLINE, theres few teams that have the cap space to take either one, and even fewer that want an expiring 5mil in Smith or 5mil in Dandanov. Maybe smith to NYR for a 2nd.

Unsure if the # is $10M or $15M in cap space, but either way they have 6 players on expiring ELCs this year and 77M tied up already next year, $5M of that is dadonov who's on a M NTC if none of the teams on his list have the ability to take on the cap then what happens? Taking on $5M in cap isn't easy, and if he was smart in putting together his list, odds are that he chose teams that didn't have a lot of cap space if he wanted to stay in Vegas.

Vegas is not moving Stephenson. And they are NOT getting so much for their dumps. Not even close.

More like they'd have to pay, if the GM has any balls to speak of.

Who do they move then? Whitecloud is looking for an extension at the end of the year in the 5-6M range, Roy even on a bridge deal gets 3 easily, they need to move contracts that are higher than a million or a million five to clear that type of space

I'm aware of that, but it won;t be Stephenson. I know Vegas fans do not want to hear this, but they are going to have to pay to move guys like Dadonov and/or Smith. And they'll have nobody to blame but themselves for that predicament.

Thats also under the assumption that Dadonov waives his NTC, since its full.

Needless to say, they are in a bad spot with their contracts with NM/NTC, I didn't touch anyone with one assuming players wouldn't waive if they think the best chance of winning is in Vegas, since they aren't going to a contender that has that type of cap space
