I don't think this puts EDM in a much better spot. They need multiple scoring wingers to complement Draisaitl and McDavid. Kassian, Foegele, Ceci, Barrie, and Keith need to go. They need a huge overhaul of their depth pieces.

Don’t ya think that’s being very greedy? 1st and 2nd is already more than players like him tend to go for getting a decent prospect on top of that seems very generous.

We have limited cap space and it would be close to impossible to move some of those guys because no will want them.

No, toffoli is signed on an amazing contract for 2 and a half more years, and he's a .80 ppg player

I know, but until they do, there's really no way a roster with those players contends. There's a real possibility they miss the playoffs this season. You can't ice a nearly identical roster and expect a better result.

Just another habs fan massively over valuing his teams players.

This flawed roster your referring to has finished the last two season sitting second in the division…
Identical roster? Hyman Kane ceci Keith foegele Mcloed benson are all newer additions to full time jobs this year so suggesting identical or near identical roster doesn’t appear to be correct.

in a weak pacific division where it's Vegas and then everyone else. Near identical in the sense that players like Foegele, Ceci, Benson, 38-year-old Keith and McCloed are a dime a dozen. You can get similar services elsewhere, they aren't game breakers. Look at Bunting, Kerfoot, and Kase in Toronto. Then compare them with Kassian, McCloed, and Foegele. This roster is so severely flawed.

I think this top 6 is fine. 1st line more offensive. Use the 2nd line in all situations.

Bottom 6 is messy. Put Ryan with Holloway and Yamamoto maybe in a sheltered role depending on performance (can still put Ryan out for some DZ draws). Stack the 4th with players who can both defend and forecheck aggressively.

Defense is another story. I maintain that you can't have Barrie and Bouchard with the current state of the left side, but I think this might go too far in the other direction. It's hard to do much with Keith and Ceci. Yes, I know they haven't been terrible, but there's ample room for improvement.

Some good stuff here. Like the Taffoli trade. Campbell will almost certainly get more than 5M though.

To bad nobody wants most of those guys

Like how the **** did Holland think paying for Keith was a smart idea

Could have got Graves for a 2nd...

Could go on about the glaring issues but nah that would be a big page lul (If you want more details let me know lul)

As lets be honest the main problem with Edmonton rn is Holland as this guy is ruining them.

Holland has certainly ruined them and I really think we have to be close to McDavid and Draisaitl requesting trades.

Lol the trade i made here is more than the canadiens actually got for him. I hope that u now realize that u have been massively overvaluing ur players.
