If thats the ask for Barzal the Kings should be willing. They can pay more even. LA doesnt need centers but hes a guy you make it work for.

I think Nelson is worth a bit more. Khovanov probably isn't making the NHL. I know this post is more about value, but we don't have the cap space to do something like this

Edited Feb. 11, 2022 at 2:08 p.m.. Reason: corrected typo
Los Angeles would happily add a roster player and/or an RD for Barzal.

    I only wish.

I just don’t think Holmstrom has any standout skills that would make him worth a 2nd - he likely tops out as a 3rd liner.

some dumb GM might pay that much for Clutterbuck or Parise, but a potential high bid isnt a price

He’s definitely worth more. Put him in a highly offensive system and his value goes up without a doubt

    Parise is worth a 3rd and a 6th , he’s a very good middle 6 wing

Parise is absolutely worth that lol. Hes been phenomenal defensively this season and his offense just hasnt picked up. Clutterbuck is a grinder who is great for the playoffs so thats reasonable too. Its prices lol.

honestly, Holmstrom probably has another year-ish where he'll be in the spot where a GM can get it in their head that he's a young enough "former 1st round pick" that they can give a change of scenery to and unlock the potential, while also being far away enough from his draft year for people to forget that he was definitely a reach at 23. I wouldn't be actively shopping him but I would definitely be listening, and I think there's a strong shot he could pull back a 2nd still.

Clutterbuck is basically an over privrd liability and parise is a middling 4th liner

he is lol. its just his point production but hes been incredible in his own zone and its just playing in a terrible system that has stunted him this year

Yes he is and the analytics support that - he drives play at both ends of the ice at even strength and he’s very good on the PP

his most common linemates are JGP/Wahlstrom, and that line getting 53.6% of the shots when they're on the ice together, and outscoring their opponents 7-3 in that same time. Parise isn't the offensive force he was a few years ago, but he's adjusted his play to be a solid LW3 who can also kill penalties and is making the minimum. I think he's worth a mid-3/low-4 type of pick at the deadline, easy.

Maybe a late 2nd (last 3-4 picks) but I doubt it, he was never seen as a 1st rd pick and he doesn’t much in the AHL, if a team offered a mid 2nd rd pick and someone like Seamus Casey or Gleb Trikosov is still available I would take it and run
