yea probably need retention on Nyquist. Sharks aren’t giving up much but I think Nyquist has negative value at 5.5 mil.

we need RHS, I liked Nyquist when he was here, but he’s more a 3.25-3.5 mil a year player IMO. the offer isn’t crazy, just not the fit we need for next year.

I think Nyquist gets traded next TDL when he doesn’t have as much salary left. At half retained he should easily be worth a 2nd and maybe even a first.

Hes our best PKer, and a 50-55 point forward with valuable leadership skills. Hes easily worth his salary, this trade would be brutal for cbus

I am not Undervaluing him. I only said he doesn’t fit a need and cost too much for us. we have limited space and an over abundance of LHS wings, we need RHS wing and on a cap friendly price. like i said I liked him but we let him walk in FA due to his salary. sharks have a good PK and solid leadership. what we need is 20+ goal scoring RHS RW at 3.25-4 a year. i really wanted Toffoli but the price to Calgary was more than i wanted to pay so good for calgary.

i will always be respectful when a fan offers reasonable returns on players, and i will always listen to other teams fans on what they feel is fair for players and take their comments into consideration, save for montreal fans lol!
