so past 3 years he sucks at 5v5 and you think throwing him on our third line will magically make him become a better 5v5 player?

This year 6 of his 7 goals have come from 5 v 5 when he got 20 goals 9 were 5 v5 and 11 pp- a more accurate statement is if he's not scoring he doesn't really add much else - this year he had 5 goals and 9 pt his first 8 games got injured was out 3 wks and didn't score again until he scored 2 goals the game before last. I'll give the scouting report - when healthy, Big one timer, hard accurate wrister, OK passing and skating, Meh puck handling, sub par defense, zero physicality grit. His sweet spot is supplemental scoring on the second line and power play help. Most teams would want more grit and two-way play as a bottom six. The Sabres might try to trade him as Quinn, Peterka, Krebs and Rosen seem to be the future.
