Mayfield ain’t worth that at all, and as for Hagel, I am a huge fan but not at that price. In 1-2 years Amirov will be a full time NHLer who will be making under 1 mil on a multi year deal, so an even better contract. And besides that is a very large package for Hagel. I’d be looking for more like 2022 1st + B prospect + Mikheyev + bit extra

It's a large price for Hagel for sure. Amirov is a prospect. We all hope our prospects can major contributors their 2nd year in the NHL, but that's very rarely what happens. If you're looking to maximize Matthews before he gets $15M a year as a UFA...getting cheap contracts for players that are already contributors is a good way to do it.

That’s fair; but I am personally very high on Amirov and I believe he has all the tools to be a very good 2nd liner maybe even a first liner. When he comes to NA his contract will be 0.9 mil for 3 years I believe, which fits even better than the Hagel one, which is another reason I’m reluctant to move him. I think if we moved the 2022 1st, a B prospect like Hirvonen (who will likely become a good 3rd liner but won’t be ready as early into his ELC), and a guy who’s been playing well this year in Mikheyev (who can be reflipped by Chicago at deadline or be held onto for the next season+), plus maybe an additional minor piece (J. Anderson maybe) would be a very solid package

I feel like that's the package TOR wants to send, vs the package CHI will accept. Micky is a UFA. I actually like him too, But they'll just sign him in the summer if the Hawks want him. He doesn't really have any trade value right now to the Hawks. Same with Joey. The Hawks have their own Joey's that are developing.

The Hawks pundits in CHI are reporting multiple teams offering a 1st and an A prospect with the Hawks turning down all of those offers.

I'm pretty sure it was a 1st and a decent prospect (I interpret it as a B/B+ vs. A). That said, it's safe to assume the Hawks will want at least a 1st and top prospect so Amirov or Robertson plus a 1st would be the price at a minimum from the Leafs. As you well know, Hawks have no reason to move Hagel so any chance he gets moved will cost a 1st and top prospect and maybe more.
