The Mayfield trade actually looks quite good for both sides, NYI might want one of Holl or Derms back tho.

Tomas Hertl is really good so I think he should cost more with retention but Taylor Hall went for less than you've offered here so crazier things have happened. Probably have to add another prospect or high pick but Hertl is expiring so that would make me nervous no matter how good the pieces coming back are.

Regardless of trade pieces, adding Hertl, Bonino, Mayfield and Braun would be a HUGE win for the Leafs this TDL.

Sharks say no easily. Not taking on Ritchie with retention for basically no return for that. Plus need a return for Bonino. The current return to me is for Hertl and taking on Ritchie without retention or Bonino

If we trade Hertl and have a guaranty he’s coming back and not resigning with another team than this isn’t awful.
but if we trade Hertl most likely he’s gone and getting a late 1st, a bottom pair LD when we already have 4 of those and a player who is a negative value and a bottom 6 C is underwhelming to say the least, and we give up one of the better bottom 6 defensive C in the game! this is an easy pass.

I'd like to see the Leafs add Bonino but I think with that 2 year deal he probably stays put
