IK tryna please the Hawks fans that will say "not enough" and quote their Gm saying "it needs to be an overpay"

You're paying 1st + 2nd + a player between a 1st round caliber prospect and a 2nd round caliber prospect. It's way too much.

Ik and tbh Hiroven goes round 1(20-32) in a redraft tbh.

However I will say if we do get Hagel, easily we will have one of the best 3rd lines in the league that can shutdown opponents top lines and score. He fits a subtle need in Toronto and comes with term and to add icing to the cake he's RFA at the end of his deal.

Easily this year Blake Coleman.

Coleman got 1st + 2nd, with 1 year less 300k more, and more scoring.
Amirov + 2nd makes more sense.

Buffalo isn't doing that. They get a 2nd from a team willing to pay. And don't tell me holl has the value of a 2nd

100% but Hawks fans would disagree. I did it just to get Hawks fan to agree. If I personally was making the trade, it would be:

Hagel for Dermott, Abramov and a choice of 2022 1st or 2023 1st (this is depending on which year CHI loses their pick to CBJ)

Miller is injured. Its hard to argue for more than Holl and a 5TH.

Also to put it in perspective Holl has a higher GSVA than all dman on the Sabres minus Dahlin. The difference between Dahlin and Holl is only 0.1.

That's not happening. It's widely reported Hawks want a 1st, top prospect and maybe more. They've already been offered a good prospect and 1st by multiple teams and turned it down. Hawks have zero reason to move Hagel and aren't shopping him; teams are calling on him but Hawks aren't shopping him.

But we don't know what they mean by a top prospect. For all we know it could be a B-tier prospect.

Also they do have a reason to move on from Hagel. They don't know if they have a 1st this year or next year as yet. They need to recoup picks and start a proper rebuild like they've promised their fans. The other teams interested is Florida, NYR and Calgary (probably out of the running).

A b-tier prospect is not a top prospect. Top prospects are guys that are 100% going to be a impact NHL player, not guys who may make the NHL or guys that will make the NHL as bottom line players.

Late 1st round picks are a bag of magic beans and way overrated by fans. Statistically speaking, late first round picks have less then a 30% of becoming a NHL player let alone an impact player. There is zero reason for the Hawks to trade a 23 year old who's only played 98 games (just more then a 1 full season) and his having a breakout without a large overpayment and that's the reason the Hawks have declined multiple offers of a 1st round pick and decent/good prospect as reported. When you rebuild or even less so retool, you don't trade young RFAs that show big potential that are on cheap deals and are RFAs unless the deal is too good to say no to.

We heard 4 1st rounders for Eichel. We gotta take what GMs and insiders say with a grain of salt. The most realistic trade will be Coleman return. 2020 1st, and Nolan Foote. In that trade I severely overpaid and y'all still aint happy, showing how bias is misguiding your judgement.

Gave a 2023 1st, 2022 2nd, Dermott and Hiroven for Hagel

Lmao. Yeah, no, he'll be back by the deadline and will get a 2nd.

Evey AGM has the leafs getting rid of holl since before for the expansion draft, you know, because he has shown so much promise

There is no bias here, purely objective. Why would the Hawks move Hagel for anything other then a large overpay? There is not one trade involving Hagel that will go through without the other team's fanbase being unhappy. Hawks aren't shopping him and have zero reason to move him other then a offer they can't refuse. Not sure why that's difficult to understand?

Dermott btw will be perceived as a cap dump by the Hawks. Hawks are loaded with younger, cheaper, higher upside, and or better players/prospects then Dermott so that is likely viewed as a cap dump and doesn't add value but subtracts value from the trade. I already discussed how valuable very late 1st round picks are. Very late 2nd round picks even less so. Hirvonen is a good prospect sure, but I'm not sure I would call him a top prospect; he's probably not even in Toronto's top 3 prospects.

You are showing you aren't happy, because you just aren't grabbing the facts that the Hawks aren't trading Hagel, have been approached by multiple teams shutting them all down, and every beat writer is saying it's going to be a massive overpayment. This is not that. A 1st, one of your top 3 if not top 2 prospects is what is likely needed to get the Hawks to listen all based on the reports and analysts from the pros. And no, that's not fair to toronto but that is the position and luxury the Hawks are in with owning Hagel.

And btw, Eichel is a horrible measuring stick given his public display of wanting out, Buffalo's public display of keeping him out unless they he has the surgery they want, needing a massive surgery that will likely impact his play long term, carrying a $10M cap hit (most teams can't absorb) and then UFA in 4 years for a lot of unknowns how he will perform post op. With all that, he was never worth 4 first round picks.

Horrid roster management. Trading two NHL Dman for one rental. This summer the Leafs would have just five NHL under contract which includes Sandin and Liljegren. Why do the Leafs want to pay so much for a third line LWer? Insanity when the Leafs are fine at LW, and three prospects, two could be in the NHL next season.

Holl has no value to anyone least of all buffalo who has plenty of not top pairing guys right now and a nice collection of prospects. taking his salary off your roster to make cap games easier is a favor so really your paying less than a 5th for 50% retention on Miller who the sabres have to replace or resign for next year as he's thier best RD top pair option right now. If thats all your offering your kinda asking to be hung up on. It would be better for the sabres to try and sign miller on a team friendly which although unlikely is more likely than the 5th and holl ever being useful.
As to hagel take the blinders off, concider what other players you could get for that offer. If you have to over pay that much move on, theres no money for retaining top talent in toronto so your looking for the best rental to get you over the top this year.

Sabres EASILY pass
That’s an insulting offer for Miller imo,
And since it’s been reported the Sabres are looking for a 1st for him…. I’d say they’d be insulted as well
I don’t think we’re likely to get a 1st- unless we’re also taking a Cap dump- but a 3rd pair defenseman isn’t gonna be of interest to us
Not enough to knock the pick we’re getting down to a 5th

Garbage offer dude, brutal

LMAO. No toronto. Thats why every fan on here looking for a rental Dman, makes a trade with the Sabres for Miller. Stop trying to justify. Its a horrible evaluation.
