Moving Gudas is also an option but trading Weegar could be the right thing to do as they propably cant afford his extension.

With buying him out theres also the possibility of signing him back at league minimum and keeping him on the 2nd or 4th line RW

actually you can't sign him back right after you buy him out... its against the CBA

Losing weegar and knight for chychrun is not the right move. Plus weegar is better than him.

yea it has changed. Ever since the caps traded Oprik to Colorado, they changed it bc Colorado bought him out and then Washington signed him to a lower AAV.
