Flames 2023-24

Created by: BigBradT
Team: 2023-24 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 22, 2022
Published: Feb. 22, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This team is carrying on from my 2022-23 team previously made. The value of some of the younger less experienced players is difficult to gauge, so all trades and signings could be wildly inaccurate. However through reading into some of the players online, this is the value that I found and attempted to make the trades not one sided.

I thought Thomson was a bust last year but this year he’s been insane

I read a report from awhile ago that ottawa was looking around monahan and brannstrom or Thomson seemed to be the target, this is all as a flames fan so obviously I wanted the flames to win, but I agree i don't really think the values match.

Sens would be crazy to trade Lassi for Monahan. Sens have a pretty firm handle on their C core going forward with Stützle, Norris and Pinto. Don't see where Monahan fits.

If there were any credible rumours floating around about the Sens, you can bet that Bruce Garrioch would have his grubby mitts all over it. So far as I know he hasn't had anything to say about Monahan since the early off season when Ottawa was rumored to be interested in a C.

Yeah seems like the Sens have switched to looking for a winger. Konecny , Boeser and Fiala are there. If we can get one of them and draft one of Slafkovksy or Lambert , we’d be set for so long

It's kind of funny tbh. The summer they were worried about C depth leads into the season they lose all of their projected starting centres, which ends up becoming the season where they find out they are actually sick down the middle long term.

    My dream trade is White + JBD + 2nd or 2023 1st for a top 6 winger

Why os Gaudreau signed to like zero term? He's definitely walking if not offered max term in Calgary
