"Several teams remain in the hunt for the 23-year-old rising star, including the Los Angeles Kings. Separate sources have told me the Kings have Chychrun extremely high on their wish list, with one describing a potential move with L.A. as “a strong possibility.”

Talks are ongoing, and the Coyotes have interest in multiple players in the Kings’ prospect pool, including 2017 11th overall pick Gabe Vilardi, who is playing currently at a point-per-game pace in the AHL." BY DAVID PAGNOTTA, THE FOURTH PERIOD

This is basically 4 1sts for Chychrun. Will that be too much? Maybe just 3 would be needed? Maybe different equivalent players like Kupari or Turcotte?

Vilardi will hurt because I think he's going to be good. Chychrun is what we hope Bjornfot will be, at a friendly contract. I don't see Anderson fitting in with the Kings long term because of all the other kids coming up...

My projected lineup includes a JAD call up for a floundering Brown and Edler being healthy for the playoffs.

He’s had a taste of success at the NHL level, is ripping up the AHL, and Armstrong came from STL so he probably has a fetish for size. Not to mention he’s got a pathway to C in ARI. Not my first choice but not a bad one.

The Kings and the Coyotes line up really well - LA has a glut of prospects that are near NHL-ready without enough seats at the table. Half their defensemen are on their ELC and any of those three would be a great start for a Chychurn package. If you don't want Vilardi or Andersson, you can easily swap in Turcotte instead. Does Armstrong like Kaliyev instead? Fine, there's another guy right behind him that can step up and succeed in his spot.

I honestly think you could tell Armstrong "Pick 3, no Byfield" and you'll find common ground that doesn't ruin LA's system and gives Arizona some NHL-ready guys to develop. If another team is getting close for a Chych deal, it won't be hard for LA to top it either.

Bjornfot will not be traded for Chychrun. It defeats the purpose of making the trade. They're looking to add another LHD to their stable, not simply upgrade on one of their existing guys. If they trade Bjornfot, they still have a long-term gap at LHD moving forward.

The Kings have a ton of quality RHD prospects, replace Bjornfot with one of them (not Faber or Clarke) and then the trade would make sense for LA.
