Used the Ristolainen trade as comparable.

To get Dumba this year, would have to be a lot more, losing him takes the wild from a chance to go to WCF to a chance to get out of round 1. In the off-season, roughly correct.

I think the value is good but it’s an off-season move; they aren’t going to move him at the deadline, no way

What’s the plan when Muzzin comes back and you no longer have the room next year cap-wise?

Muzzin
Mrazek
Holl

Should all be traded next year. Maybe even Kerfoot

Dumba isn't available, nor is he getting traded. Wild are a contender. Even in the offseason, the chance is slim like our beat writer reported today.

It's a totally silly post, Gee, the Leafs have an injury and suddenly the Leafs have cap room without Muzzin for the next year and half.

No. Muzzin has NTC...he's not tradable, maybe not even M NTC Holl, or M NTC Holl......Leafs are looking to shed cap not obtain cap.

Yikes . Well they should move on from them. Move Sandin to 2LD and sign a cheaper 3LD that can be physical

Personally, I think the Leafs will moving on from Campbell though his cap just 1.65m....so even if a goalie is signed for 1m, the Leafs don't save much with Mrzarek and the other guy, or even Campbell (if he resigns), a traded Mrzarek and the new guy. Really is getting a 2.5m raise so as you see the Leafs are in tough with cap situation. Plus Sandin/Liljegren/Kase/Engvall are all RFAs which could get more $$$$$.
Muzzin suddenly looks bad...Montreal had the same issue with Alzner. The wheels seemed to have fallen off. Hate to put it like this, but just for cap purposes, the Leafs would be better if Muzzin was on LTIR for next 2.5 years. Of course I don't wish any player bad fortune and in Muzzin's case continuing concussion issues.

I think dumba is likey to be traded this offseason. I do think a deal along the lines of dumba + fiala for nylander + holl + 1st would suit both teams and make sense all around. Wild are intact, get a 1st and the cap relief. Toronto gets 2 pieces who complete the team a little more so and make them more rounded etc. idk I think there’s potential to something like that.

Make the pick a 2022 1st and you've got yourself a deal. And this would be made at the draft

I dont think Muzzin will be moved but I myself never wanted to resign him.

Mzraek will 100% be moved and I think there will be few suitors out there.
Kerfoot might get moved and Holl with Dermott will be.

To me it makes sense for Minnesota to move Dumba and resign Fiala

I think the Leafs need to add a D man that compliment Muzzin, Dumba would be good addition.

Minnesota has Spurgeon, Brodin, Kulikov for next year and Addison can fill the Dumba void.

I see their GM extending Fiala and that's Dumba will get moved.

Fiala wants something Minnesota can't afford. He's also turnover prone and lack defensive ability . Guerin doesn't trust him and that has been obvious since last year

I think Campbell price tag is going to come down just like it went up.
Yes he was playing a Vezina caliber goalie but since December he is at .882 save %.

The only thing that worries me is how much term might he get.

You are wrong. Calen Addison isn't trusted yet. Also Dumba was named Alternative captain for a reason. Everything you are saying is your own belief and nothing to back it up. Dumba brings more to the wild than as a player and it's been made clear since our gm Guerin took over he values that.

Fiala has been in the trade rumors for a reason. There has legit been no smoke or news whatsoever that Guerin has shown any inkling to keeping Fiala

He's been asking for 8mil deal. Long term also. Out gm isn't signing him long term that he wants and to the type of money he's seeking

If what your saying is true about Dumba RE Minnesota, will they be able to extend him?
If so how?
Right now that dead cap is going to hurt, with Spurgeon and Brodin locked him, I just don't see he will fit long term.

Dumba has long been willing to take a cheaper contract much like Hartman, foligno, Greenway and others who have taken cheap contract. Dumba also has 1 year left. Trading fiala leaves Minnesota with 18 mil or more in cap.

Minnesota also has Adam Beckman who will be ready sooner than later . A bunch if good wingers in free agency wild can also sign.

Don't think anybody has reported this (but if they have I'd love to be wrong). Our beat writer has said in a podcast (paraphrasing) something to the effect of "Guerin loves Dumba and the culture he brings to the room, but if Dumba wants to stay here the only way the Wild can afford it is if he takes a team friendly deal". I don't remember anything about him reporting Dumba would be willing to do this, just that Dumba does like it a lot here.
