Not gonna lie without looking at the team shown I would have assumed Nylander, Ehlers, or Batherson would have been the guys lul

Bratt's good to

Bratt is insanely good on a bad team. Still very young, I don't see them moving him. Factor in how cheap Jarvis is, I don't see them dealing him. Bratt will probably make what close to 7mill? They have Necas, Jk, and trocheck to sign. Deangelo is another guy that it would be tough to put a number on. Basically what I'm saying is don't trade young cheap talent for young expensive talent (I'll be it much better) when your team might already be in a bad spot money wise.

If those three, it would be offseason IMO. What's really nice about Bratt is that his salary is so low this season that you can just slot him right underneath our LTIR space.

I wrote this proposal because I fully expect Nino and Trocheck to get paid lavishly to play for worse teams this offseason. Just like how Kotkaniemi was acquired as Trocheck insurance, Bratt should be acquired as Nino insurance.

Nice work by the NJ scouts getting him in the 6th round. What a player.

Thanks, from a Devils fan.
Jarvis is gonna be a good one too.
But Bratt is one the guys we are building around.

2 Problems for this trade

1. Idk if the Canes can afford Bratt long term. He's gonna want 7M+ long term and Canes are kinda close on cap (maybe the Canes lose some decent players)
2. Doubt the Devils would be trading Bratt away even though this package is great

But nice to see Bratt getting recognition outside the Devils fanbase

I expected Devils fans to say that hahaha, but I'm sure an offer like that is actually a debate-able one for both teams. The question is if Bratt or Jarvis is the better fit for New Jersey's timeline. A larger portion of New Jersey's core group is around Jarvis' age, while Bratt is actually closer in age to the younger pieces in Carolina's group.

I fully expect Nino and Trocheck to be lavished paid by worse clubs in free agency. Bratt and Kotkaniemi both slot right in next season, from a contractual POV, where those two currently occupy.

Bratt is a veteran on our team! We have had the youngest team in NHL for last year and half. And with Wood out, and Zacha potentially going at deadline, Bratt and Hischier will become our longest tenured forwards (both rookies in 2017-18). They are likely to lock him up long-term in off-season.

Bratt is going to get paid a bunch based on one good season and he wouldn’t get the same PP or ES ice time here.

Clearly you haven’t watched Bratt lol
He’s always been extremely underrated for the Devils and now he’s breaking out

Clearly he doesn’t fit our cap structure and wouldn’t get the same ice time here. Break out or just an elevated season, it ain’t worth Jarvis and all of that

If Nino and Troch both end up walking canes will have plenty of flexibility. Especially with Staal coming off the following year. Could also move Skjei if they get in a bind

ngl I think Jarvis gonna end up being the best player from the 2020 draft class. He would be completely untouchable as far as I'm concerned.
