A 3rd for Archibald? An unremarkable, bottom of the lineup forward who still may not be fully recovered from severe health problems, hasn't played all year, and can't play in the US because he's still not vaccinated?

That's pretty optimistic of you. Good luck with that.

The Isles deal works better if you swap in Mike Smith for Koskinen (means that Edmonton's goalie tandem is Varly/Skinner next season and the Isles run Sorokin/Smith, no one has to worry about a 3rd goalie mixing it up). And this is just me, but I'd swap out Rodrigue for a D prospect like Lucas Munzenberger - Isles have young goalies in the system (Jakub Skarek, Henrik Tikkanen, Tristan Lennox) and could use blueliner prospects more.

not really. Braun is old and would also be just a rental if he chose not to resign. Barrie has more trade value than Braun.

what do you mean not really. Its my opinion there's no right or wrong. Edmonton gets a solid reliable defensemen good on PK. Bouchard then moves on up and opens his offense more. Edmonton also gets 4.5 off of the books for other moves in which they need for a few years down the road. So to me, yes really.

Probably a bit of an overpay but I'll take it.

Yeah the 2nd rounder is fine enough, But Samorukov could be useful.

Not true, Barrie was a leaf so negative value and then an oiler so further negative value

So oil trade for a goalie and yes a better goalie but also a goalie coming from a team with a ridiculously good defensive game, Oilers need better team defense or it won't matter who's between the pipes

I think future considerations would be an optimistic return for him right now, but no it probably doesn't matter.
