How? They get a veteran goalie who can help their young team, and lehner doesn't want to be there anyways. Reinhart needs a fresh start wasn't living up to expectations. Debrincat is a good prospect probably just as good as reinhart was at his age plus your getting hinostroza and a 3rd.

Exposing Hammer (Hawks #2 Defenseman) in the expansion draft is the worst possible move the Hawks could make.
I'm not even going to comment on the rest of the trades/moves.

no. this is pretty bad for buffalo. absolutely do not need to spend more on goaltending, lehner has been fine, and theres other goalies in the pipeline. if reinhart gets moved, its gotta be for d, preferably one for one, not spare parts. debrincat may turn out to be a nice player, and the sabres could use more speed, but that d simply has to be fixed before entertaining offers for forwards.

      Very realistic!! wink

Where did Wennberg come from?? If it's an offer sheet, you really don't think Cbus would match 3x3.5M?

Asking five guys to waive their NMC simply won't happen. Hjalmarsson and Crawford do have M-NTC so they are possible trade candidates. Bottom line, at least how I've observed things since about 2013, this team is so poorly managed. Until the cap goes up significantly, a half dozen rookies/projects will vie for regular spots every year, then be jettisoned when their ELC expire. The core? They are here to stay. I know this is crazy but Panarin may be the next casualty this off season (Friday?). His $2.5M overage will still be on the books next year, tho. Besides Hjalmarsson, I doubt any other team would realistically want any of the other bigger contracts should NMC be waived of course. It has been a good ride. Time for a new direction, IMO.

And this is not written because of Chicago's poor play in the last few weeks. Like I stated, this has been simmering for years.
