Ya, they aren’t willing. Not by a long shot. Leddy doesn’t add anything to the bruins.

Leddy is a goner at the trade deadline. But zero interest in Debrusk and not trading picks. Rasmussen is 22 and he has played well, just had issues in the beginning of his career with rules and minors compared to juniors. I am not ready to give up on him, and Wings are still in rebuild.

The rumour mill had Leddy ranging from a 2nd to 4th round pick. To hedge those rumours if the Bruins could land him for a 3rd, I think they would be wise to do so. He still has some value and skates well.

They would be wise to keep the draft pick... Leddy brings no value to the Bruins.

He plays LD and posted 31 pts on a Islanders team before landing in Detroit. At the cost of a 3rd round pick, its a low cost, medium reward play and easily would slot into the 3rd pairing and 2nd pairing when needed.

Meh, the analytics don't favor him. I'd be more worried about a RD with said 3rd rd pick...

Pretty sure McAvoy and Carlo are ok as a 1 and 2 RD - not sure why you would move the 3rd for a RD when Leddy can slot in with Matty G or instead of Mike Reilly on the top 2 pairings on LD

Again, the analytics don't favor him. I'm not wasting a 3rd and cap strapping myself at the deadline for Nick Leddy. Plenty of better options out there for a 3rd.

That's fair - just not sure what else you land for a 3rd - if the wings retain any cap it brings his 1.5 million cap down. Bruins I think were projected to have 5 million trade deadline cap space and thats without moving JDB or any other asset out that carry a cap hit.

Leddy still passes the eyeball test and analytics on bad teams will make all players look poorly. I mean take a look at the Habs roster etc. Its a deal that Sweeney like would explore given the 3rd is a low cost to obtain playoff help on the left side. Just not sure what LD or 2nd line Center you can obtain for a 3rd round pick straight up that is much better than Leddy.
