No he doesn't at all. How does a 5'10 165lb winger make more sense than a 6'1 220lb center/winger for a team that severely lacks grit

He would cost less, and be marginally lower cap hit-- but he's not as good, or as ideal a fit as Miller could be. It's also a 5 year commitment, with no major cap increases upcoming.

It's not awful, but not the move I would make.

Sorry grit might have been the wrong word, an intimidation factor maybe? Someone who can stand up for their team while not also being a complete pylon during gameplay. I like Garland but unlike Miller he can get pushed around rather easily
