Habs are asking for a first for Chiarot. This offer doesnt cut it. There’s not even a prospect here, just some bum they drafted 12 years ago who never became anything

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92uYs5cavA0 - TSN on the Chiarot trade (its somewhere in the video).

Giving montreal a first would be dumb. You are also getting a second and a fifth. I can understand maybe adding a prospect, but if you do it would only be the prospect and maybe a second. Also when you look at Montreal they are already in a great position for this draft, and adding a second just boulsters that. Taking on Jarred Tinnordi for a half a year isnt a problem.

Honestly if peoples only issue is the Chariot trade that not that Bad. As a rangers fan i dont even want Chariot anyway, but thats what I see them most likely doing. Just dont expect getting a first for Ben Chariot, cause you arent going to get it.

Edmonton has no reason to make that trade. Georgiev is a downgrade and they're trying to make the playoffs.

Lmao Georgiev is an upgrade lol. You are getting a younger goalie whos overall numbers are good. Sure hes having a down year this year, but its because he isnt playing enough. Also Mikkos numbers are very similiar to Georgiev

He's a downgrade, clearly. We don't know if he can recover and the Oilers already have 2 goalies under contract next year. I just don't see an upside for Edmonton here. Why spend a 2nd just to downgrade when you're aiming for a good stretch run?

He’s a below league average goalie…the numbers aren’t good, and haven’t been…

I have an issue with the Rakell trade…a late 2nd and non prospect doesn’t do it, IMO.

Georgiev has proven in the past that he can be a quality starter, if he is playing on a consistent basis. Hes younger than Mikko, and has experience already in the league. He is a cheap option to. I wouldnt expect the Oilers to stay with him long term (maybe 2-4 years), but hes an option until your goalie prospects become ready.

The Oilers need a goalie. I dont see any way for them to land Fluery, and the only other Goalie that I can see has a good possibility is Varlamov. If you want to go on a deep run, Mikko and Mike Smith wont cut it.

Understandable. Honestly, i dont much about him, and I can see the rangers throwing in a prospect, i just dont know who. This is just my opinion. In the end of the day, I see Rakell and (hopefully) JT a ranger

Buddy, we ain't here to solve your problems we here to take advantage of you, and taking back a contract for a 2nd and a 5th when the ask is a 1st + is wishful thinking on your part...

Georgiev has proved nothing. If he had you wouldn't be trading him for an older, more expensive rental.

Edmonton declines.

lol one guy's demanded a trade and the other guy can't even produce at the AHL level. What's absurd is that Rangers fans think they can consider 50 players untouchable

Kratsov value as at an all time low, with the sanctions and political turmoil he may not be able to come over to NA any time soon, Lundquist is another small Dman who isn't good in his own zone, not big interest here Schinder needs to be coming back
