I expected this team to include Ethan Bear based on the title...

In all seriousness, not a bad team at all. Don't see the insentive for the panther to trade Knight and not get someone better though. No disrespect to Romanov but I don't think the panthers do that.

Solid team

Are the trades fair? Does it seem realistic?

I think since they have bob . And guzda among other goalie prospects, they would take advantage of trading knight. But I understand you. They might want romy, if chych is too much to acquire, romy can slot right in at 2nd / 3rd pair. Another solid goaltending prospects, and a 1st.

I don’t see the panthers doing that. If you want gourde go get him. The arizona is I’m not sure. Pretty decent. Not terrible

CHI heading to a rebuild. Giving up futures for a goalie is not on the list of things to achieve.

Borgstom is on the block so if you hold interest you could pick him up cheaply and deal Allen to a contender at the TDL (may need to include retention)

I don't see how moving the 40th overall pick + makes sense for me in a rebuild when I'm getting an old goalie in return

It's possible that they may consider it, they probably should, but I just don't think they will. As you said I think if Knight is traded it's for Chychrun.

OK. Thanks for letting me know. I would think they might have been interested if flower doesn't return, but it makes sense. Thx for the input!

A) This team isn't exactly a cup contender, the defence and forwards still lack some elite talent, we know how teams built on only depth go in the playoffs ( our cup run last year or any of NYI under Trotz's playoffs ). B) That does not get you Spencer Knight, he has elite goalie potential and will get the value of one, also not sure why Corey Perry is worth that much, I'd rather sign an FA that pay that haul. Comtois trade is interesting, Ducks could decline due to untapped potential but I could see them accept that, AZ trade doesn't make too much sense, Arizona can ride high on Ghost's value and Gallagher's not exactly an upgrade value-wise

You should read up on Arizona's financial situation. The Coyotes won't be retaining on Gostisbehere, even for only one year, let alone relieving you of the burden of Gallagher's monstrous contract. Why do they need him? They won't contend until his contract is up -- or he is.

They need cap floor, and they don't have amazing forwards currently. Tough to send out Johan Larsson on your top pp unit

This team can always buy at the deadline, the forwards and defense actually is good, if you count on the growth of Suzuki and caufield.
Letang as #1Dman.
Price in net.
It's for sure in the playoffs.

I get it about knight,

I told people to leave me alone about perry, I need him AT ALL COSTS.

These do look like solid trades, so theres my props to you. But why do these instead of committing to a rebuild where we can get 2 potential elite/generational talents?

If all it cost was a 2nd for Comtois, any team would have done it by now. Lias Anderson got a 2nd and he was nowhere near the value of Comtois.

Considering the first thing i saw from you was that you implied toffoli was going to be worth 3 1st round picks, i think you can figure out the rest hehe

Because then we'd lose our first non-recycled good FR-CDN coach

I don’t think Gourdi is a good fit for the Habs. We are likely to get to pick a Center this draft….with the team shopping Petry, we need Savard. Evans is a very good 4th line Center.

I also don’t think Ghost is a fit. We have Edmonson, Guhle (I think he makes next years team) Harris if signed and Romanov ( I don’t like that trade either)

If Byron is only worth a 6th, he’s leadership on our team is more. So I wouldn’t trade him either.

Habs won't draft Wright this year, next year if we want 1 of bedard / Michkov we have to sell off EVERYONE.
Meaning : Gallagher, drouin, Hoffman, Dvorak, armia, byron, lehkonen, petry, Savard, Price, allen. Yiu seriously would do that? I woudo like to know of a team who sold of that amount of quality players, in 1 and a half years. It's too hard, players won't get maximum value. I think the best option is to contend again, since this was looking like just an off year, and we're legitimately just a 2C, 1LW, 1LD, 1Rd away from being back in the playoffs.

I just wanted 1st + pelltier + zavgorodny, and I still hold that he should've fetched that. Look how he's dominating in CGY!
but okay..

I would rather sell off everyone this season and get a high pick instead of picking 16th like every other year. Next year would also be a product of that. It doesnt matter if we get Wright/Bedard/Michkov, both drafts are STACKED in the top 10, so we just have to place in there.

Im sure if Gorton and MSL talk about it, there would be a mutual agreement as long as we allow the younger players to develop right.
