Seider is a Calder Candidate, doubt Wings even entertain that offer.

I think Caufield for Newhook is fair, although I question whether the Habs would do it. I would trade Caufield for Newhook if I were GM of Montreal. Byram for Seider is a hard no, too many Qs around Byram right now and I think Colorado is probably better off holding the asset unless he asks to be traded. Jost for Dube is meh

1st one is fair. avs consider it but it leaves them without a 2c next season.
2nd one detroit declines. although when byram is healthy i think he's every bit as good as seider.
3rd one i think the avs take.

LOL

I think you meant to say "Cale Makar" in the Wings trade.

With Caufield maybe in January but not since the coaching change St. Louis has the entire team playing better and Caufield is starting to look like he did in last years playoffs. I do think this puts Montreal in a tougher position deciding who to trade and who to keep. Personally I wouldn't move Caufield he only struggled at the start of the season but the entire team did as well. Detroit doesn't even consider that trade. I think the Calgary looks good on paper but I'm not sure how Calgary values Dube. I also think Jost gets undervalued by fans not in Colorado he has been a bottom 6 forward in Colorado but with Colorado's top 6 Jost being in the bottom 6 is understandable. On a lot of teams I think Jost would easily be a 2nd line player.

If think Johnson is better than Seider it might explain why you think Byram for Seider is a fair trade. I think the Calgary looks good on paper but I'm not sure how Calgary values Dube. To answer your Johnson-Seider lineup question... I didn't edit the lineup properly

Bowen Byram already has health concerns, Zero chance Byram returns Moritz Seider.
