That leaves our starting goaltender with significant retention for flotsam and jetsam -- a goalie who isn't as good, a B prospect and a draft pick that won't mature into an actual NHL player until 2025 at the earliest, if ever.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Duszak but the fact that he's a RD and also waiver eligible next year makes it very awkward to fit him in. I'm also not a fan of Dermott at all but if nobody else offers anything for Leddy I'll take the offer as it is.

Keep dreaming. He's a 7/8 defenceman at best and makes 5.5 million. He's garbage and I wouldn't take him if you gave me a 2nd to take him. Leddy will be a wing until his contract is up where he may retire because no one will pay him more than league minimum

Dermott is easily better than Leddy. Underlying numbers are miles better and the results are better as well. Leddy sucks
