if i were philly i'd be looking at samoskevich, i like him more than both of those other two, but maybe florida won't move him.

Seems like a lot. Curious what pieces are you giving up for who? Figure that’ll give a better picture of the trade.

Giroux = Carlsson Tippett 1st, Braun and 3rd = Denisenko. I think Manson and Braun are close in terms of quality, and think Denisenko while getting a 3rd back is a better bargain than Hellesson and a 2nd. The Giroux part is just sort of what I always kind of thought it'd be

I think that Manson trade just made “retained salary” worth a lot. Helle was a guy I thought was untouchable. Giroux is going to be undervalued by a lot of people, but his face off skill, special teams play, and overall leadership and desire is going to make whomever gets him a serious threat. I think Giroux is worth a bit more on his own without the salary retained

A couple of things. First Cats want a LHD so Braun isn’t needed and second Giroux decides his own fate so the value will be determined by if officially he waives for multiple teams. As of right now the teams like Florida and Colorado are rumored to be places he would waive but he hasn’t officially authorized anything.

I am hoping Giroux will waive to go to Florida, NY, or even Toronto or Boston. All this AVs talk and they don't really have much of value to offer.

The Panthers don't really have interest in Braun. He plays on the wrong side, so he'd provide no upgrade in the top4

he's florida's 2021 first round pick, a freshman at michigan right now putting up solid numbers (9-17-26 in 36 games) without the power play time, TOI and top linemates, and he looked amazing at world juniors for the ten minutes those were going on. he's a lot younger than denisenko and tippett so he's got more development runway but he's also unlikely to make the nhl for another season or two since he's still just 19
