That doesn't get DeBrincat. Plus, I doubt the Wings would try to acquire him anyhow.

This is probably an easy no for Chicago.

No chance that lands DeBrincat and what it would cost, the Wings shouldn't be spending.

More like Raymond and a 1st pre lottery and even then, neither team should accept

LOL the original trade is bad, but this might be worse. Wings would never pay Raymond + 2022 first, and if they did, Hawks should run. Saying you wouldn't accept is ridiculous at best

When Raymond is a top 5 goal scorer in the league you have an argument but as of now, teams aren't getting a 24 year old who's a top 5 for anything less then a elite level prospect (raymond) and first. There's a reason teams don't give up elite players that are only 24 years old

LOL at his height Raymond will be the far better winger, Raymond is easily capable of putting up 40+ goals just like DeBrincat. We all admit the OP is bad but this is even worse.

Detroit passes, If we move the 1st round pick. It's either for a 2C or top 4 LD not another winger.

But he's not yet, and it's all conjecture until it happens. That's the point when trading a bonafide proven very young NHL player versus someone with potential, the risk to give up and take on a projection is worth less. Fans often think this or that player will be the next McDavid and more often then not are disapointed down the road; GM's understand this.
