I don't want Rask. I'd rather give roster spots to Berggren and Soderblom.

we could just keep him in the A. Already down there. Jsut thought we do have injuries and maybe could use the extra guy. Either way shedding Rask shouldn't cost too much should it?

Minnesota would still need to add a pick or better prospect for Copp as Dewar doesn't look like much and McBain on his own isn't enough.

Ya I would like to give less but i think there will be a bidding war for someone who cost 725K. So it will be a 2022 2nd im assuming.

We aren't trading for claude. You have wild giving up two top d prospect and 1st for claude? That isn't happening.

I was thinking it was quite enough. Sometimes i think that getting a prospect for the future like this is pretty valuable, but they aer only asking a 2nd for him, so ya if im the Jets it would be nice to get more.

Not to mention he is pretty good at defense and is basically built for the playoffs.

Stevie still has to eat half of Panik's salary next season plus Abdelkaders dead Cap is still on the books. Plus another 500k for Nielsen. I don't want eating dead cap space to become a trend with the Red Wings. The extra cap space we have now will be needed down the road.

Ya its pretty intense. Just COL and FLA have some real nice prospects, the point is that MINNNY has a 2022 1st to give the flyers, who im assuming would like that over a 2023. And your getting giroux if you off that. Could take addisson out for a different guy cuz i like him on the Wild. I just don't think they should be scared to do it if Giroux wants to go.

LOL god I hate the ADBE buy out. year too early for me. I feel ya it sounds like hes done with the taking on cap thing, but anything to make the organization better. I really want a real Left D for Christmas deadline, though ill live without it.

Giroux doesn't want to come to Minnesota. We aren't contenders, and our gm has no interest in parting with 1st or top prospects for rentals, so that isn't happening

Well have fun trying to win for the next 3 years. You have enough prospects to miss on a year. And great contracts on young players to play during this cap struggle era.

Well thank God, you aren't bill Guerin. Fans think like they are gm. GM's don't care about 1 year, they look at future. They aren't adding multiple pieces either

Giving up that amount of assets for strictly 23'ish games of Giroux is asinine.

Going for it this year or no. It's simply not feasible or worth it on Minnesota's end. It's not rocket science.

Man its one year to go for it. If you think your team can't win that sucks for you, its the NHL man, a team like this can win a cup. The wild knows thats its going to be difficult to be great like this the next 2-3 years. I would do it for the fans, like i said you guys have lots going on for the next several years. There will be 3 or 4 drafts before these buy outs get off. Im sure you can find some more prospects in that time.

It's weird how fans think what they see are what our gm should do. Guerin doesn't care about ine team, he doesn't care about 1 year. He wasn't brought here to care for 1 year. No, it's not sad for wild fans like myself to see this isn't the year, many wild fans and our gm does also. No gm does anything for fans and they shouldn't. Guerin has made it clear he's not parting with a 1st or top for rentals, that won't change

$4.2M in dead cap this year and $1M and change next year.

Oh I fully understand the Package for Giroux is **** load. Billy is smarter than that, he wouldn't give the house for Giroux. But I think he could really fit in nice on this team. There would have to be one insane bidding war for a giroux trade to look like that.

Rask is UFA this summer. He's off the books in July.
