Idk man, it would be kinda tempting, but at 3rd overall and the pick most likely being Simon Nemec; the Rags are already stacked at RHS RD. If it was the 1st overall and Shane Wright, that would be a different story.

"Habs 3rd overall pick"..... did Lafrenière become elite and im completely unaware? he's not a bust but far from what people expected him to be. id roll the dice and keep my 3rd overall in a deep draft if im the habs.

Lafrenière has 40p in his first 115 games... thats >30 /82gp average. idk if i would call him untouchable / not available I CERTAINLY wouldnt trade Wright for him. Lafrenière isnt a bust... yet but hes far far far from what he was suppose to be... looks more like a middle 6 winger than an elite winger top line guy

He’s developing at the same rate as Huberdeau who he has been most compared to. Too many people on here thought he was going to put up McDavid points and that’s just dumb. Huberdeau was getting PP time too. 31 organizations are concerned about his play, ours isn’t.

Lafrenière imo is barely better than McM in Washington... if you are trading the 3rd overall got for an elite level talent like Bratt not Lafrenière. Lafrenière might be the biggest disappointment since Yak with all the hype surrounding him

comparing him to Hubber is like a 1/1000 odds... he could just be what he is...Gagner looked better he could just develop into a worse version of him also... like when Hab fans claimed KK could turn into a Barkov type. OR that Laine is the next Ovechkin... elite guys are elite for a reason.

On pace for 25pts. Doesn’t look elite when you watch him. Don’t think he will ever reach Huberdeau level. Maybe RNH

The draft is Montreal so they ain't trading that pick. If it's not Wright, they could get Cooley/Nemec/Slafkovsky.

Nemec will especially be an important piece considering Weber is basically retired and Petry is probably going to be traded.
