I mean with all due respect, Dumba isn't getting traded. He's in the same boat as Marcus foligno. As the gm said after the trade deadline, he's made his decision about this summer and is satisfied with it. So unless Dumba refuses a paycut, he's not getting traded.

This one I would be interested as Ottawa can afford it

- No 1st round pick
- No Sanderson/Pinto/Greig

It's really tough for a good team who likely have cap issue to trade for Dumba and not send cap back in return.
And non playoff teams aren't trading away good young assets or high picks for one year of Dumba.

WSH wouldn't have room for his contract, and I can't see why they would want to pay a Top 4 D prospect and a 1st round pick for one year of Dumba. Washington would be looking more at a defenseman with term, since Fehervary, Orlov, Jensen, Van Riemsdyk, Alexeyev, and Johansen will all need new contracts in the 2023 offseason. Alternatively, WSH could look at a Carlson for Dumba deal. Otherwise, I don't see WSH going near this

It's funny because they all start off the same.

"I mean with all due respect"

Within a couple days, he'll be back to angry responses about garbage contracts, every player is a cap dump, and any player being sent to the Wild would not be good enough to crack their roster.

OTT declines, no room cap wise with 3 major players needing raises after next year for a overrated Dman
