Was really close between Suzuki and Petterson for scratched but went with Suzuki due to better defensive play.

Considered him, he was close to the scratched list as well, could definitely make it over Suzuki, tbh it was a close race between him, Suzuki, and Petterson. Just took Suzuki because he has the best defensive play of the three.

Is this supposed to be in any sort of order?

Theres a host of guys taht should be above hughes. On the roster, and off. To name a few:
Heskainen
Dahlin maybe
Girard for sure
Sergachev

Just tried to value it based on position, aka best rw, lw, c, rd, ld, g. Probably some centers better then some wingers but did it by best players per position, with scratched just being the best left over

I would put Nedelkjovic ahead of Knight. I love them both both but Ned is a starter and is playing a much less mature team. He's better than his stats will say. So is Knight but he's not as mature yet.

Never mind, found out Ned is 26 years old. My bad.

You could definitely argue that, but Hughes has 53 points in 63 games this season. Dahlin is the only one of those guys are even close to those totals, and I really considered having him in over Heiskanen and Sergachev but thought I would get too much hate. I think Hughes is made to look like a worse player then he actually is. Yes offence isn't everything, but you can ignore some defensive lapses with those numbers lets be honest. McAvoy could definitely be above him as well I just put him third pair cuz he is a right shot lol.

Girard has been sorta meh this season tbh, yes maybe he has been overshadowed by Toews and Makar, and he is definitely top 4, but I would much rather have Hughes.

Problem is, hughes stinks at 5 on 5. Not just that he isn’t elite, he’s actively bad. Turnstile.

Girard on his absolute worst day in the NHL is better than Hughes at his absolute best. Don’t let the shiny points fool you.

Defensemen should not be judged by points.

And ya, mcavoy is just in a different category as him. It’s elite defensemen vs a guy that needs to be sheltered at all costs. They really shouldn’t even be in the same discussion.
