I think the cap hell Minnesota is in next season would block this

@TheOntarioBruin05 is upset with trying to trade ek away from wild.

Minnesota doesn't do this. They have no interest in trading a really good young two way C for an older, more expensive one way C. Joel Eriksson ek also blocks this with his no total trade clause

Wild decline. This trade screws our cap in an unfathomably bad way. We would pay 23-25 million a season just for Tavares and the dead cap. No thanks.

Yeah but the Wild seem like such nice folks, so maybe they do?

Minnesota nice is gone. After all, we traded for Nic Desluariers and Jacob Middleton. Just ask William Karlsson if the Wild are still a *nice* team.

Maybe Desluariers dragging Karlsson from the crease was just his way of making sure the fella had enough room to get up? Yeah, that must be it. 🤪

As far as the trade idea goes. No f***ing way. Johnston was referring to either Fiala or Dumba. It wouldn't be JEE.

Well if you're going to bring logic and intelligence into this, then you're just being a jerk.😁

Minnesota does not have the cap to do this deal. They have 14 million dead cap hits the next 2-3 years.

Yea, Guerin would be crazy to trade Ek. Tavares would be deadly between Kaprizov and Zuccarello but without Ek we lose the best shutdown line in the league. We don't have an issue scoring and the GREEF line only adds more power by keeping all the top lines off the scoreboard. We like Ekker too much to even want to trade him.
