Pass by Toronto. Start with Hart if you want Marner.

if you want that package to only include Provorov n Konecny as roster players then its gonna take another first round pick on top of that to even have a conversation with Toronto.

Where does it say Fedotov can only sign a one year ELC?

And Hart is untouchable. Probably our most important player in our franchise. Very unlikely they part with him for a winger. Positional value. It has been reported that TOR will look to shake up their big 4 this offseason if they fail to go far yet again. In the trade that I proposed they get a top 6 forward to replace Marner in the lineup and a top pairing defenseman to bolster their back end. For a similar cap hit as Marner. That is the kind of deal they will want for Marner. They wont want futures. They want guys to help them win now. Star goalies don’t get traded often. Only way the flyers trade Hart is if they are getting a 1D or 1C. Again, positional value.

I know how important Hart is, Marner is just that good. Konecny, Provorov and Hart is probably fair value. Second line winger, middle pairing defenseman who has struggled mightily and a high end goalie. A Nylander trade for Konecny and Provorov would be closer to fair value than Marner for Konecny, Provorov and a 1st

As for Fedotov, he's 25 and drafted from outside of NA so he'd have to be 28 to not be subject to an ELC

We just have to wait for the Leafs to lose in round one again and we can steal Marner when Dubas flails around trying to save his job

Hart and what? Cause I would definitely be willing to make that deal depending on the adds

I’m not so sure I would be. What good is a high scoring winger if you don’t have someone who can stop the puck? Kind of like the current Maple Leafs….
