Why include Jokiharju in a trade for Artem Zub? Your goal should be to add at RD, not upgrade. (You only upgrade when you already have sufficient talent at that position, in my view.)

Trading Joker is a mistake even if Zub is currently an upgrade. Klingberg is not worth remotely close to 8M. Thats a repeat of the Skinner deal

i dont think zub is necessarily untouchable, but the sens need to get a top-flight winger or winger prospect in any deal theyre trading him in. The sabres wont do it but if the sens are trading zub with an extension to buffalo id probably be after like peterka

I like both a LOT, but you aren't moving a top pairing right shot DFD on the hopes that either one can replace him. They both have real top 4 upside, but I'm not expecting either to be as good as we already know Zub is.

As an aside, I think Bernard-Docker is a likely trade target this summer. He's behind Lassi in the depth chart and seems like the D prospect that makes most sense if Ottawa is gunning for a top 6 upgrade.

Not with the players you acquired. Klingberg is good but not 8 mil good. Kulak is mega overrated. Zub is mega underrated and highly doubt Ottawa would trade him
